USCIS Will Conduct a Second Round of the FY 2024 H-1B Cap Lottery

On July 27, 2023, USCIS announced that it will soon conduct a second selection on properly submitted electronic registrations for the fiscal year FY 2024 H-1B cap, including for beneficiaries eligible for the advanced degree exemption. The selection will be from the pool of candidates who were already registered in the H-1B lottery from March 1, 2023, through March 20, 2023. Although no specific timeline has been provided regarding the date(s) for the second round of selections, USCIS will notify petitioners and their representatives once the random selections have been made.
