Ann Cun
Managing AttorneyAnn Founded Accel Visa Attorneys, PC devoted to the practice of US immigration and nationality law. She immigrated to the US as a war refugee when she was a young child and naturalized as a US citizen filing the paperwork herself.
Ann graduated from UCLA with BA in History and received her law degree from UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. She served as an Editor to the prestigious Hastings Law Journal while in law school. Since 2001, Ann has worked at notable US immigration law firms and become a licensed attorney in 2008. Ann's expertise includes complex employment-related immigration matters, including O-1 Extraordinary Ability Alien, EB-1A Extraordinary Ability Alien, EB-1B Outstanding Professor and Outstanding Researcher, and EB-2 National Interest Waiver petitions. She’s assisted many employers with I-9 and E-Verify issues, developed their immigration policies and protocols, and streamlined their foreign national recruiting processes. Ann’s pragmatic approach to lawyering continues to attract clients worldwide.
Ann is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and Northern and Southern California Chapters. She previously served as an Editor for the AILA Board of Publications for two years and has published hundreds of articles related to US immigration matters. Ann has been quoted by multiple national and region press publications and recognized as a California Super Lawyer.
Sharon Brenner
Senior AttorneySharon Brenner has worked in various sectors of immigration law since 2004 representing clients in artistic, business and STEM-related fields. She has spoken on the topic at industry events including SXSW, Sonar+D, SF Music Tech and more. Her clientele in these areas includes startups and entrepreneurs, filmmakers, visual artists, musicians, designers, marketing professionals, and many more.
Sharon's work additionally includes naturalization and family-based immigration matters, and she previously provided domestic and international refugee-based assistance at the Helsinki Citizens' Assembly in Istanbul, Turkey, as well as at the IRC and local immigrant advocacy organizations in New York City.
Sharon is a member of the California Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She received her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and holds B.A. degrees in African History and International Relations from the University of California, Davis. Sharon also studied at the University of Cape Town in South Africa and New York University’s program in Paris, France, as well as lived in Athens, Greece.
Edith Coates
Senior AttorneyEdith Coates has been involved in the immigration field since 2009. Her passion for immigration law stems from her own personal experiences as an immigrant from Mexico. During her undergraduate studies, Edith interned with CAUSA, Oregon’s Immigrant Rights Organization, where she learned about the importance and power of advocacy and civic engagement.
While attending law school, Edith interned with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (Immigration Court), the American Bar Association Immigration Justice Project, and local law firms. During law school, Edith also participated in the Immigration Clinic providing supervised pro bono representation to an asylum seeker. Upon graduating from law school, Edith worked with the American Bar Association Immigration Justice Project where she assisted detained immigrants through its Legal Orientation Program.
Since 2017, Edith has focused on employment-based immigration where she has successfully represented clients with non-immigrant and immigrant matters, including PERM, H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, O-1, E-1/E-2, and EB-1 petitions. The majority of her representation includes working with clients in the business and STEM-related fields.
Edith is a member of the California Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She graduated cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego and holds a BA in Sociology and Spanish from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. She was also selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2024.
